In the second quarter of 2025, the top food and drink applications on Android in Germany showed varied performance trends. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps exhibited notable patterns in downloads and active users.

REWE - Supermarkt maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads initially around 57K, before experiencing a gradual decline to approximately 38K by the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly above 3.8M throughout the quarter.

EDEKA saw an upward trend in weekly downloads, peaking at over 63K in mid-April, before settling around 41K in late June. Active users showed a similar pattern, with numbers increasing from 1.5M to over 1.7M by early June.

PENNY Angebote & Coupons experienced a significant drop in weekly downloads, starting at 68K and decreasing to around 27K by the end of the quarter. Active users also saw a decline from 1.6M to 1.4M, reflecting the download trend.

Too Good To Go: End Food Waste maintained a steady download rate, with numbers hovering around 32K to 38K. Active users fluctuated slightly, remaining close to 1.2M throughout the quarter, indicating a consistent user base.

Uber Eats: Food and Grocery experienced a variable download pattern, reaching a peak of 28K in late April. Active users increased steadily, growing from 310K to nearly 380K by the end of June, highlighting its expanding reach.
